CPL Community Hero

We are launching a new business in the community initiative. Four times a year we will select a Community Hero.  That might be because of how they have contributed to our own community or to an external project.  The prize will be a donation of £100 to a charity of their choice.  We would like to announce that our first Community Hero is Will Tosh, who  is making a great deal of difference with regards to helping us all stay safe at CPL.  He has worked with us all at CPL for over a year but since lockdown, his role has changed and he has creatively adapted to be able to support the business even more.  As a hygiene technician he suggested new ways to deep-clean, spot clean and generally instigate a new level of hygiene at CPL to help us manage heightened infection risks.  Regular attention is given to all work areas, production, office, and stores, to reduce contamination risks and Will is putting in extra hours to keep on top of new demands.

Did you know that he is an avid Glasgow Rangers fan? He is obviously missing the beautiful game at the moment but continues to support the Rangers Charity Foundation which raises funds for various charitable and community projects and reaches thousands of children and adults with important messages and training regarding health and fitness, employment, equality, diversity and education. Will was recognised by the Foundation at the end of last year for his contribution, specifically with a project designed to encourage supporters to “get active”. Will championed the “Fit Bear” app, topping the league with his amazing activity count, which amounted to 1,280,787 steps in just one month!  The club rewarded him with a signed Rangers FC shirt and tickets to a home match. William continues to use the app to help improve his own fitness and to keep track of his daily step count.

Thanks Will, helping care for all of our health and fitness at CPL and doing the same for a much wider community. We think Will deserves our first Hero of the Month award and will be working with him to help him support Rangers just a little bit more!
