Encouraging life-long learning

Cambridge Precision Ltd is a strong advocate for apprentice schemes and for many years we have recognised the value of growing our own talent and encouraging life-long learning.  We will be offering both engineering and business apprenticeships later in the year and are delighted to note the forthcoming National Apprenticeship Week.” explained Richard Hefford-Hobbs, CPL Chairman.

The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, taking place across England, will showcase how apprenticeships have helped employers and people of all ages and backgrounds. Employers are encouraged to promote the great work of their apprentices, whilst highlighting the many benefits apprenticeships bring to their business. Apprentices, at all stages of their learning will also be celebrated over the course of National Apprenticeship Week 2021.

Connor works in CPL’s Stores Department and is a perfect candidate for our next Apprentice schemes. Unfortunately in 2020, due to Covid restrictions impacting on the academic institutions we would normally work with, our programme was temporarily put on hold. However CPL have been supporting Connor’s career development by enrolling him on a four-month online, NVQ course.

He has just completed the NVQ Level 2 certificate in Warehousing and Storage Principles with Tresham College, part of the Bedford College Group, which involved independent study, research and online evaluations. Congratulations Connor, and we hope that you will continue to study and acquire new skills and qualifications.
