What a beautiful day

So … a very early start in order to complete the CPL stand set-up, paid off and as soon as the doors opened on a rather glorious and sunny day, the Cambridge Precision Ltd exhibition stand was incredibly well–attended.

Young people from schools and colleges across the County filled the exhibition space and chatted with business and education providers, considering the opportunities ahead of them.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire and her team welcomed a diverse spectrum of visitors .. and the mix of commercial and social enterprises really did showcase all that is special about our County.

Guests to the CCD event and the races were numerous, diverse and notable. Many visited the CPL stand and ‘played’ with the mini cobot, kindly made available by Mills CNC.

The team from CPL engaged with all visitors and admirably show-cased the character of our company and the range of career opportunities available for those wanting to contribute to digital manufacturing and export excellence.

CPL sponsored the Cambridge Precision Innovation Stakes. An exciting race, saw Leap Abroad, come in as winner in a tightly fought competition. Evie Rata presented the winning jockey, owners and trainer with bespoke trophies, manufactured by Kieran at CPL and laser-mark engraved by Gemma. The trophies were a big hit!

What a great day on all fronts – social, networking, business and fun .. and most of all what a great team collaboration from all at CPL.  Well done and thanks to those keeping the wheels turning on our production sites, whilst others built valuable connections and show-cased CPL to a regional, national and royal audience.

It was a pleasure to be a part of this historic event and to celebrate the skill, diversity, achievement and opportunity which combine to characterise the County of Cambridgeshire.
