Founder of Cambridge Precision (CP), Richard is a successful professional manufacturing engineer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Qualified as a Manufacturing Engineer, he is engaged in numerous commercial, educational and voluntary endeavours to promote and support manufacturing, engineering, entrepreneurship and innovation. After completing a Master’s degree at UCL, he went up to Oxford to read for a MSt in the History of Design. Richard is a fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) and the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS).
He believes strongly that “The impossible can be achieved when freedom of design, partners with the strict principles of engineering and modern technological capability.”
Having successfully run a laser processing business within the microelectronics industry, Nigel co-founded CP in 1994, to offer a highly adaptive and expert resource to the emerging hi-tech engineering market. Driven by a desire to provide an unrivalled customer experience, Nigel directs the company’s commercial activities and has a watching brief over customer service and quality.

Nick has worked with CP since 1995, joining initially as a CNC Miller, to then become the section leader for the company’s very first machining centre. He is now one of the four key strategic managers of the business, having studied with the CMI and then completing an MBA. Nick is a “chartered manager”, (the highest level of CMI accreditations), having built upon his practical experience with management training to complement his ONC and HNC engineering qualifications.

Tony has been with the company since 1995, and has been key to shaping the culture of the business and developing capabilities. He believes that everything in business is about trust and confidence. This commitment to customer collaboration has seen Tony’s career develop hand in hand with CP evolution into a global manufacturing asset.

Leveraging a strong background in sales and manufacturing process improvement, Dan is a highly experienced Commercial Manager and time served engineer who is centred around driving growth and cultivating strategic partnerships.

Becky joined the finance department at CP in 2005, she has a strong finance background completing Accounting Technician qualification and gained knowledge working in many different industries. In 2017 Becky completed CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, this has led to Becky being passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
