CPL said goodbye this month to a well-respected colleague.  Phil Gee joined the company twelve years ago as a machine operator, and leaves us to enjoy his retirement.

Within days of joining the Milling team, it became apparent that Phil’s attention to detail and team spirit meant that he would add extra value in his role and that has been the case ever since. His colleagues in the Department benefitted from Phil’s eagle – eye and began to rely on him to leave not only his machine but others, clean, swarf-free, with checks on lubricants and all levels being undertaken scrupulously.

Not that anyone failed to take responsibility for their own work, but knowing Phil was around has been an added bonus for all!

Nigel Rata convened the whole team outside (socially distanced) to say thankyou and farewell and to present Phil with some gifts in appreciation of his enormous contribution.

We will miss Phil and wish him well.
