The LucEnt Challenge

Cambridge Precision Ltd is delighted to support the Lucy Cavendish Enterprise Weekend as a part of a long-term commitment encouraging the enterprising activity of students of the College. Lucy Cavendish has an inspiring vision for growth and development, which sets the college apart and offers exciting opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

The LucEnt Challenge, held from 5-6 November, invites Lucy Cavendish College students to combine their knowledge, skills and experience in a multi-disciplinary team to identify an enterprising solution to a problem relevant to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

The LucEnt Challenge Enterprise Weekend graphicThe Challenge teams selected to attend this Enterprise Weekend will benefit from entrepreneurial inspiration, mentor support and will have the opportunity to win a £1000 prize towards implementing their vision for a new product, service or innovation, that has the potential to create significant economic or social impact.

Richard Hefford Hobbs will join Professor Dame Madeleine Atkins, President of the College, to judge the presentations of the entrants. Richard champions life-long learning in all walks of life, and believes that collaboration between academia, enterprise and industry catalyses creativity and innovation.

Dr Ruby Pillai, a leading light in finance and law, will speak at the Lucent weekend, and the teams will be mentored by an impressive conglomeration of advisors from the University of Cambridge, and supporting body of Lucy Cavendish College.
